If you are a parent and would like your child to go to a grammar school in Lancanshire, they will need to sit an entry test. The grammar schools in Lancashire are academies. They co-ordinate the secondary transfer process with Lancashire County Council, and for this purpose tests are held in the Autumn Term of the academic year preceding that in which children are admitted to secondary school (i.e. in the Autumn Term of Year 6). Please contact the schools for more information about the tests.
In addition to completing the school's application form for the test, you must complete a secondary school admission form at your local authority.
The upcoming tests, that will be conducted in the Autumn term is for 2021/22 year 7 intake.
